About Primed Potential
Our Approach
When things are not working, missed assignments, constant reminders, and growing frustration, it is rarely about effort.
It is about executive function.
At Primed Potential, we believe that understanding how you learn is the foundation for meaningful, lasting growth. When you can clearly see what is getting in the way, you can begin to support it in a way that actually works.
This is especially true for students and adults who understand what needs to be done but struggle to consistently follow through.
Understand the gap between intention and follow through
Identify strengths and the executive function skills that need support
Build practical, personalized strategies that foster independence and confidence
We guide individuals and families to:
This work is not about trying harder. It is about building the skills that make follow through possible.
As a California based educational psychology practice, we specialize in executive function coaching for teens, young adults, and adults, along with educational consultation for students of all ages. Our approach integrates educational psychology, executive function research, and real world implementation across home, school, and work settings.
Meet Suzanne
Suzanne Pickell is an educational psychologist specializing in executive function and neurodevelopment, helping students and adults bridge the gap between what they know and what they are able to do consistently.
She is a California Licensed Educational Psychologist and the founder of Primed Potential, Educational Psychology PC. She also holds national certification in school psychology and has advanced training in school neuropsychology. Suzanne earned her Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology and her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Loyola Marymount University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
With nearly a decade of experience across public schools, private practice, and virtual settings, Suzanne brings both deep expertise and a practical, real world perspective to her work.
She specializes in supporting individuals with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental differences that impact executive functioning. Many of the students and adults she works with are bright, capable, and highly aware of what they should be doing, yet struggle to consistently translate that into action.
Through structured and collaborative coaching, Suzanne helps clients:
Make the internal external so expectations, plans, and priorities are clear
Build systems that reduce overwhelm and support consistency
Strengthen follow through without over reliance on parents or reminders
Her work is grounded in evidence based practice and shaped by a neuroaffirming, developmental lens. The goal is not just short term improvement, but helping clients build the self awareness, skills, and systems needed to function more independently with confidence over time.
Suzanne’s Credentials:
Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP), CA LEP 4495
CA Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential, School Psychology
Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), #48974
Diplomate, American Board of School Neuropsychology (ABSNP), #10961
